The hotel was located right in the middle of everything you would want or need, including a grocery store. The decor was very modern and new. Service was great. The room was large. Bed was nice and the pillows and comforter was top notch. Bathroom was small and no refrigerator. I would stay there again. Price was right too.

Although being remodeled, this was our second stay and we were very please with the friendly helpful staff, the clean comfortable rooms and the excellent dining room. It is located in an area that is surrounded by small better class of business with a nice little coffee cafe close by. Since it sets back from March Lane and the entrance is off Grand Canal, it is quieter and I feel safer then the other motels/hotels located right on March. I highly recommend this location especially for those attend the P.G. & E, ETC classes. There are a large variety of chain restaurants close by also for those who want to sample other eating establishments. The complimentary USA Today & Wall Street Journal add a nice touch. The only place I could find fault was the lack of a mini-fridge in the room. But the Beds were the best I have ever found in a Hotel and that says a lot being that I have stayed in many 5 star hotels in different parts of the USA and the Far East. If you have any type of back problem, the Stockton Grand is the place to stay.

We did not have running water for several hours and for the 4 days of stay to attend a convention.No vocal/written apology at all from the management for the inconvenience the guests endured. Imagine, no running water, morning, afternoon or evening! It was a nightmare!

After staying for years at cheaper hotels, all with mini-fridge and sometimes with microwave, we were surprised to be paying a premium without even amenities we were used to. We have a toddler and had to constantly refill our ice bucket to keep his milk cold.
